Mel B's death and divorce turmoil as she rushes back to the US and Simon Cowell

'Emotionally fraught' ex-Spice Girl - who's divorcing Stephen Belafonte - ended a 10-year rift to be in Leeds for her dad's funeral
Grieving Mel B has dashed back from her father’s funeral to the US and Simon Cowell .

The former Spice Girl’s life has been thrown into turmoil by the death of her dad Martin and plans to divorce Stephen Belafonte .

She is likely to be quizzed about her heartbreak on Monday at the launch of America’s Got Talent , which she judges.

But at least Scary Spice will have the support of music mogul Cowell, 57.

On Thursday Mel, 41, flew in for Martin’s funeral after ending a 10-year rift with her family. Our exclusive Sunday People pictures show sister Danielle and mother Andrea leaving the service in Leeds.

Spice Girl Mel B says final farewell to dad Martin Brown following news of her divorce

Pals say she is desperate to thrash out divorce terms with Belafonte, 41, who was pictured wearing a ring on his wedding finger on Friday.

A friend said: “Mel wants to sort things out and move on. She faces a tricky Monday with the AGT launch.

"Journalists from around the country attend and her divorce and recent loss are sure to come up.

SIMON COWELL

“In the past she has been the life and soul of the launches, cracking jokes and being very outspoken.

“None of us have been told what she will do Monday and it will likely depend on her mood. Not only does she have the marriage to deal with but she is just fresh from her dad’s funeral.

“Simon is supporting his co-star. She will probably have photos, a few interviews then leave. He knows how emotionally fraught her life is right now.”

Mel’s tragic loss healed the rift between her and her sister Danielle, 36, understood to have been sparked by the star’s family’s dislike of Stephen.

She shared a photo of herself and Danielle, 36, holding hands with their dad.

On Instagram, mum-of-three Mel wrote: “Both of his children were by his side and say thank you to all the doctors and nurses for amazing care over the years.”

Mel cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed for divorce from Belafonte and there was an application for joint custody of their daughter Madison.

"We'll be reunited after 8 years of silence": Mel B's mum Andrea Brown believes the family feud will finally end

It has been claimed her reported £40million fortune remains protected by a pre-nuptial agreement signed ahead of their 2007 marriage.

Martin, 63, died on March 4 after five-year fight with multiple myeloma cancer.

Mel kept a low profile at the ceremony at St Aidan’s Church before attending a private burial supported by pals Emma Bunton and Kerry Katona.

It comes as James Corden has been giving him advice about impressing the Yanks.

James tells me: “I am looking for a place in LA, I’m over there a lot this year so I might as well.

“I’ve got my flat in the UK but if I’m not here I might as well get a place in LA.

“I love it there. James Corden was so lovely to me when I went on his show, he made me feel really at ease, and he told me to relax and just be myself. He’s done so well over there, it would be great to do half as well as he has.”

James is currently touring the UK which wraps up in Sheffield in May. But he’s turned vegetarian and shed five pounds in two weeks. Impressive.

Speaking to me backstage at his 02 Shepherd’s Bush gig last week, he says: “I watched this film Earthlings by Joaquin Phoenix . It really made me think differently about the way I consume animal products.

“The last two weeks I’ve gone vegetarian, I’ve lost five pounds. I’m having avocado and poached eggs and lots of vegetable dishes.

“Last year I went vegetarian but I got really hammered and ended up eating a chicken kebab, I completely caved. But this time I’m going to be on it.” Just think of those chicks.

The 61 year-old matriarch certainly loves the limelight...

She has engineered her family life into a smash-hit series, which launched the reality TV show careers of an entire household.

So it's probably no surprise that Kris Jenner has managed to make the robbery of daughter Kim Kardashian all about her.

The 61 matriarch took to Twitter on Saturday to promote the latest series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but nearly used the opportunity to paint herself as the victim.

"It's an emotional episode this Sunday. As a mother, reliving that night and hearing what Kim went through is difficult for me..."

In a preview clip of the new episode, she continued to lament over the incident, which took place during Paris Fashion Week, last year.

She said: "It’s been the most devastating thing to have one of your children fear for their life thinking at any moment they were going to die when they have two small children.

"For the rest of us, the thought of losing Kim is emotionally scarring and hard to overcome ... That’s it, I can’t talk about it anymore."

Capping it all, Kris then added a third tweet which said: "There is nothing more important than family."

Katie Price looks bleary-eyed as she celebrates husband's 30th birthday by gifting him a £130,000 car

The buxom blonde was clearly enjoying the celebrations

She doesn't like to do things by halves. So it makes perfect sense that Katie Price was out in force to celebrate the 30th birthday of her husband, Kieran Hayler, on Saturday night.

The glamour model, 38, left little to the imagination as she she partied at Gilgamesh in Camden, North London, where she gifted her beau a sports car for his milestone year.

Featuring a personalised numberplate, the flash motor - which comes with a £130,000 price tag - was delivered in the venue's forecourt and, of course, the pair used the opportunity to share a smooch.

Peter Andre hints he could bring back reality TV show with wife Emily 'willing to be filmed' - but what about the kids?

However, it seemed that Katie was already well into the festivities as she appeared a little worse for wear during the proceedings.

Appearing somewhat blurry-eyed, the Loose Women panelist looked to be caught off-guard by photographers as she posed up a storm against the Audi RS8's shimmering bodywork.

That said, she was still loving the attention - and ensured that she flashed her legs in a fringed leather skirt.

She added a silk, kimono-effect top to the mix for a colour co-ordinated look with Kieran and the car, who were also in matching colours.

At one point, after climbing in the back of the car for a photo opportunity, poor Katie nearly flashed her backside as she got comfortable on the upholstery.

Not that she was bothered, of course. Chances are she was still celebrating after her win at Cheltenham Races, earlier in the day.

Model and business magnate Katie put a bet on Sizing John to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup, but with odds of 7-1, it was far from the favourite.

But, ever the lucky one, it turned out Katie had a winner on her hands. She celebrated her big win by punching the air, shrieking a bit and letting her husband Kieran give her a peck on the cheek and a quick cuddle.

She then posted a video with her winning ticket on her Instagram, celebrating the unexpected windfall.

Earlier in the day, Katie had documented her journey to one of the biggest events on the horse racing calendar.

She posted a video of her, Kieran and two pals being driven to the festival on her social media.

"Just arriving at Cheltenham Races" she announced in the video, before panning the camera across her pals she's sharing the back seat with, before getting Kieran, who was sitting in the front seat, to turn round for the camera.

Katie looked stylish at the annual event wearing some black trousers, a black blouse and a black jacket and sunglasses, while Kieran wore jeans and a navy and green tartan blazer with a white shirt.
